PAT Testing Services and Electric Equipment Inspection
Portable appliance testing (PAT testing) was introduced to enable companies and organisations to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations.
The Health & Safety Executive states that 25% of all reportable electrical accidents involve portable appliances. The Electricity at Work Regulations place a legal responsibility on employers, employees and self-employed persons to comply with the provisions of the regulations and take reasonably practicable steps to ensure that no danger results from the use of such equipment. This in effect requires the implementation of a systematic and regular program of electrical equipment maintenance, inspection and testing.
More Able Services can carryout inspecting and testing for your premises from just £1 per item.
With every inspection of portable appliances, our qualified engineers will perform a visual inspection of the appliances and, where appropriate, checks of earth bonding and loading. We will also provide a detailed Pass and Failed report on all of equipment, an asset list with the next check date and a certificate of passing the testing. Faulty plugs are replaced free of charge as are any fuses that are not the correct rating and any minor repairs.
We are also available to carry out microwave testing to ensure the radiation is below the maximum leakage allowed.
